Greetings!

I’m Lucía Zapata, also known as Cala Zhan, a concept artist and communication specialist based in Valencia, Spain. My journey began at 14, when reading The Silmarillion sparked my passion for transforming words into images and building new worlds through art. That inspiration led me to pursue a Bachelor’s in 3D Production for Cinema and Advertising and later a Master’s in Concept Art, where I honed my skills in visual storytelling, design, and creative direction.
Beyond my academic training, I have gained over four years of experience as a Public Relations Officer and Content Developer for the international nonprofit 501st Legion. In this role, I’ve designed promotional materials, managed digital campaigns, and coordinated large-scale charity events in collaboration with organizations such as Make-A-Wish and Starlight Foundation. This experience has strengthened my abilities in cross-cultural communication, community management, and brand-aligned visual design.
Currently, I balance my work as a freelance concept artist and designer, creating characters, environments, and visual assets for projects in film, video games, and advertising, while also contributing as a Graphic Designer and Social Media Manager at Dunwich Studio.
My goal is to bring ideas to life through compelling visuals and clear communication—whether through concept art, branding, or public relations. I’m passionate about collaborating with diverse teams, supporting meaningful initiatives, and crafting creative work that both inspires and connects with people.
